Born in Salford, Greater Manchester, Eric moved to Spain permanently with his wife Lorraine in January 2014. They joined the church in 2014 with their home church being the Bridge in Bolton. He has two children, one (his son) living in the UK, and his daughter living in Berlin.
Eric has been a soldier, firefighter and until his retirement in 2009 he was managing director of the Bolton Evening News Group. His interests are playing the guitar and Karate at which he holds a 4th Dan black belt. He is definitely the oldest Karateka in town!
Roger Hunton’s home church is Malmesbury Abbey where his son Tom is the curate. Until recently Roger and his wife Sue visited Spain frequently as holidaymakers but now have based themselves in Javea. They have been members of the church for 8 years, and are Deacons. Roger is a Yorkshire man originally from Sheffield with his first job was a BT Engineer. He eventually ended up as the headteacher of a large secondary school Great Baddow High School in Chelmsford. But, that’s another story that you will have to ask him about! Roger is a deacon of the church and enjoys walking, golf, and talking to their dog Maddy. Like his dog, he has a special interest in trees. An ardent lifetime Sheffield United supporter he cannot bring himself to say the word Wed**day!
Born in Lymm, Cheshire, Lorraine is married to Eric and her home church is also the Bridge in Bolton. Lorraine has one son, Chris who lives in the UK. Lorraine spent most of her career in the media, and for 10 years as a senior manager at the Manchester Evening News Group. Lorraine is a qualified personal performance coach. She enjoys……..
